LiDL

The brand we would like to partner with is LIDL. The Lidl Company already supports one of the campaigns from “Too Good To Go” and we would like to help them deepen this partnership.

Company: Über mich

The company

The Lidl Company was founded in 1930 in Neckarsulm by Joseph and Dieter Schwarz. Originally, Lidl's goal was to offer products at discount prices. Today, this goal is still implemented, but the customer is not only offered the best price, but also the best quality. Through partnerships with regional suppliers, organic products in the product range and a commitment to sustainability, Lidl convinces its customers.

Lidl is a unique example when it comes to sustainability strategies for its supermarkets. By 2025, the company wants to reduce its organic waste by 30%. To achieve this, the "I'm still good" box was already introduced in February 2020. A box in which customers can find food that is a few days away from its best-before date, such as dairy products, bakery products, frozen products etc. These products are then offered to customers at half price.

The Lidl brand is committed to constantly developing new concepts and finding out what can be done better in the future. That is why among others things Lidl has been supporting the "Zero Waste" campaign of "Too Good to Go" since 2020 by labelling their products with the eye-catching "I often last longer than you think" imprint.

The final reason why the Lidl brand is so suitable for partnership is its wide reach, with a total of 10,800 shops in 29 countries around the world, Lidl has the necessary infrastructure and retail presence to make shopping even more sustainable.
