Annabel Riehmer

Coordinator

My name is Annabel and I am 22 years old. In my hometown Dresden I am doing my bachelor´s degree in International Business. Currently, you can find me in Antwerp doing my semester abroad focusing on Marketing and Management.

I became attentive to the topic sustainability through my parents. Especially my mum showed me what it means to try to live and eat more sustainable even if you only change small things from time to time.

Trough the marketing tools I have the unique chance to raise more awareness for this important topic “Sustainable Food” and perhaps even have the chance to convince people to take action and change some of their habits.

In our team, I take on the role of the "coordinator" also called team leader. The characteristics of a coordinator are mainly that they are calm, good-natured and delegate tasks very effectively which describes my personality very well.

During the collaboration, I am happy to take in the different views and ideas of the team members and to bundle them in such a way that we achieve our goals as a joint team.

Paula Witas

Shaper

My name is Paula, I am a 21 years old German student. I follow my bachelors degree in International Business at the TH Nürnberg. I am currently participating in the Erasmus exchange program at the Karel de Grote Hogeschool, Antwerp, Belgium.

When working in a team, I take on the role of a so-called shaper. My characteristics can be defined as highly dynamic and outgoing. I challenge my team to constantly improve and try my best to overcome challenges.

Around 12 million tons of food are being thrown away per year in my home country Germany. As the majority of food waste is generated in private households, I want to make an impact on the societies relationship with food.

Me, being very self-conscious of my consumption behaviour, I firmly believe that moving away from livestock production can lower the global GHG emissions and can therefore help to slow down the climate change.

I am looking forward to explore the possibilites of sustainable food with you!

Sara Schiffbauer

Completer-Finisher

My name is Sara and I am 21 year old International Business student from Cologne who is currently spending her semester abroad at Karel de Grote Hogeschool in Antwerp, Belgium.

In our team I play the role of the Completer Finisher as I am kind of perfectionistic and always concerned with finishing projects on time. Moreover, I habitually pay attention to small details and like to prevent any kind of mistake.

Just before I travelled to Belgium, I got aware of the application "Too Good To Go“ which tries to minimize food waste by selling food for a smaller fee which otherwise would be thrown away. Since in my hometown there are not many supermarkets or bakeries collaborating with "Too Good To Go“ I decided to try it in Belgium and I enjoyed it from the start. In general, this concept strengthened my interest in preventing food waste and ensuring a more sustainable food consumption. Moreover, the concept rose my interest in creating a higher awareness of food waste and finding simple ways for a more sustainable food consumption as in my opinion small actions of many people can change a lot.

Bianca Schupp

Shaper & Completer-Finisher

Hello my name is Bianca. I am 24 years old and come from the south of Germany. There I study Business Informatics in the Master program. I have already written my thesis and after the semester abroad in Antwerp I am done with my studies. Besides my studies I work for a regional energy supplier in the department of business development. After graduation I would like to work as an online marketing manager. In my free time I like to travel the most, which is why I have a long bucket list for the semester abroad. I also like to go to the gym and I pay attention to a healthy and mainly vegan diet.

Therefore, the topic of sustainable consumption is very close to my heart. I include environmental aspects and animal welfare in my shopping behavior and also consider the disposal of resources. Since I grew up as an only child, I was always on my own and could decide for myself at the same time. That's why I like to take the lead in groups and am able to make decisions. At the same time I am a perfectionist and only satisfied when the result is very good, this concerns especially the design, because I am a very creative person. Projects I make are not only informative but also very creatively designed.

Raimund Gass

Monitor Evaluator & Resource Investigator

My name is Raimund and I am from Germany. I am studying Business Informatics in the Master's program and I am currently writing my Master's thesis, and the semester in Antwerp is my last. In my free time I like to meet friends and go to the gym. I also pay attention to a healthy diet, which is why I chose this topic. I eat a mostly vegan diet and try to keep my sugar consumption as low as possible.

The personality test says I am mainly a Resource Investigator, which is not true. The second position is on Monitor Evaluator, which is more true of me because I am unemotional and lack inspiration.
